Led by CHENG Li-Pin, TCO and TCO Chorus are joining forces with renowned vocalists Fernando WANG, Jeannie CHIANG, CHEN Han-Wei and CHOU Ming-Yu, in the Taiwan premiere of LAW Wai Lun's monumental Cantata ZHENG He: Admiral of the Seven Seas (Libretto by YUE Meiqin and LAW Wai Lun) for Chinese orchestra. The work in 7 movements (Sea Burial, Wandering Spirits, the Voyage, Sea Destiny, Untamed Seas, the Vow, the Eternal Conquest) is a tour de force combining Chinese orchestra, chorus, and solo vocalists. Lasting for around 90 minutes, it depicts ZHENG He's lifelong endeavor of navigation and exploring foreign trades.
