Veteran composers QU Chunquan and LO Leung-Fai are known for their expertise in writing colorful melodies and exquisite rhythms which have been best demonstrated in pictorial and narrative works. As for SU Fan-Ling, CHO Chi-Jou and LEE Chia-Ying, three distinguished female composers of middle and younger generations, they all feature unique characteristics of their own in the compositions, be it narrative, expressive or metaphorical, portraying individual life experience through music.
