The New Rout Of Thinking
As the 2015/16 Season approaches its close, it is timely for TCO to review its overall performance and achievements in this past season. In addition to enjoying steady box-office growth, TCO has won widespread acclaim for its professional music performance. Many of TCO’s outstanding concerts have created unique and pleasant memories for music lovers. Looking ahead, the 2016/17 Season will continue to provide opportunities for TCO to collaborate with other musicians and groups. What’s more, TCO hopes to commission more large-scale works and achieve greater box-office success in its quest for consummate musicianship.
The new concert season will continue to deliver cross-over productions while incorporating some of my ideas. For example, since this past season, TCO has started to commission large-scale works to Taiwanese composers, whose compositions have been well-received by TCO members and fans alike. The new season will continue to see more commissioned, large-scale works and productions.
Meanwhile, TCO hopes to be more active in enhancing its image and boosting its marketing efforts. While offering subscription packages, TCO is now planning to provide student subscription options to appeal to the young demographics. It is also seeking higher corporate support and sponsorship by offering corporate tickets.
While program vari e ty and box-office performance mean a lot to TCO, it is our sincerest hope that all TCO members will bring out their best and demonstrate their expressive force to captivate the audience in every of its concerts.
