Whirling Dance

Whirling Dance cover

Price: NTD490

Whirling Dance, produced and distributed worldwide by Taiwan’s Sunrise Records and Sweden’s BIS Records, is the first ever collaboration between the TCO, under the baton of Chung Yiu-kwong, and renowned flutist Sharon Bezaly.  The fact that the album was officially launched right around the TCO’s 30th anniversary lends it an epoch-making significance.  Taking almost two years in the whole process of conceptualization, creation, communication and coordination, eventual recording and distribution, Whirling Dance can be considered a perfect blend of East and West music.

The album boasts of a perfect acoustic effect under BIS Records’ typical top-notch production. Each musical instrument is played to the hilt, producing a harmonious and crystal-clear timbre, with an extensive acoustic range.  Through BIS Records’ international-level recording engineering, the pairing of Chinese traditional music with the Western flute creates a magical harmony. In addition, the surround sound Super Audio CD (SACD) recording method further enhances the live concert hall effect.  For the price of a regular CD, these imported SACD’s are a bargain in the truest sense of the word.
