The walls that transcend the spatiotemporal boundaries are spaced between tradition and modernity. The primitive tone of percussion instruments gives a la mode pieces a modern spin; advocates for western percussion fusion music are on a hunt for the most unconventional sound.

Professor WANG Yidong from China Conservatory of Music, also an eminent percussionist, and She-e WU, associate professor with Northwestern University Percussion Ensemble, give the audience a mesmerizing performance to rival TCO musicians nonpareil, playing some of the contemporary pieces and highlighting the versatile styles, mingle between percussion and Chinese orchestra. The percussive beat, the rhythmic strikes lead us onto a journey that blends Chinese and western cultures, bewitching the audience in a hypnotic sound storytelling.
